Move-Out Cleaning Checklist for Halifax Rentals
Whether you are leaving a Dartmouth apartment or a Halifax house, move-out cleaning is about one thing: meeting landlord and property-manager expectations so you can chase that deposit with confidence.
What landlords in the HRM usually check
Most walkthroughs focus on kitchens, bathrooms, floors, inside appliances, baseboards, and the leftovers of daily life — marks on walls, dusty closets, and that last film on the shower door. Empty homes show every missed corner.
Building rules vary (some Bedford or downtown Halifax rentals are stricter than others), so keep your lease checklist handy. When in doubt, clean as if someone will photograph every surface.
